This is a little something I did for an upcoming exhibit at 1 Wicked Gallery in Wilmington, NC. They are having a velvet painting show and since I couldn't come up with anything kitzchy, I decided to do something closeup and high contrast. I haven't done a painting in years, but I busted out my pastels and bought some acid-free velour and turned out this little gem. It's 12 x 16 inches.

Gosh! I don't know how you have the patience! Lovely perspective and I like the way the pastels give a soft feel - a kind of romance - to the image.
