I picked up my artwork from the coffee shop yesterday so I was able to scan this last piece today. These are my husband's hands. Even though he is only as old as I am (and I'm not tellin'!) his hands seem to have been around the block once or twice more than he has. This was done fairly quickly; in about an hour, if I remember rightly. The person that bought this piece said her husband wanted it because it reminded him of his grandfather's hands. I hope they enjoy it. 2B pencil on Strathmore drawing paper. 4 X 4 inches.

Wow is this ever powerful!! Amazing!
The hand do have a "wise elder" air about the, like having tea with your grandfather listening to his stories while he keeps his hands warm. Good work. And congrats on the sale.
Wonderful drawing. These hands don't look old to me, just proficient
This is a beautiful drawing. Congratulations on the sales!
Wow! Fantastic drawing!
Absolutely gorgeous!! Great piece.
Wow, very atmospheric! I just had to keep looking at this.
Wow this is just wonderful! I love my husbands hands too!
Because I like your work so much I’ve given you an award. You can pick it up from my blog and post the logo on yours. Hope you decide to participate!
Wonderfully done! I am glad you got a picture of this before you sold it! Excellent! Lots of character. Your husband made a good model for you. :)
Fabulous work.
Are you ok, it's been an awful long time since you posted, hope everything is alright.
this is phenominal! I can not beive it waqws done in an hour. So impressive.
Marvelous! The values are incredible.
Love that picture - how did you get a 2B pencil to come out so black? Is the paper quite rough?
THe paper isn't really rough. It has some tooth to it, but it just regular old Strathmore. I crosshatch over and over again until it gets really dark. I don't press hard. I'm not using a pencil either. I use an old drafter's leadholder. I pull the lead out a bit, lay it on it's side, and crosshatch away.
Wow....this is awesome..
I wish I had your patience.
Wow, is all I can say. Wow.
